TYPSA in the International Road Tunnels Seminar in Chile

Covid era reality forces trade fairs and seminars into digital transformation.

The Chilean Tunnel and Underground Space Committee (CTES-Chile), together with the Ministry of Public Works (MOP), organised the International Seminar on Standards in Road Tunnels, from October 21 to 28, https://ctes.cl/2020/09/15/seminario-internacional-on-line-estandares-en-tuneles-viales/

Technical sessions were held via ZOOM and a Virtual Fair is accessible free of charge until November 10 at https://feriacdt.cl/V6/index.html where the different civil engineering sector authorities and firms have the opportunity to exhibit their products and services on virtual stands.

Leading countries in tunnel development, such as Austria, Spain, Norway and Sweden, took part in the seminar to discuss aspects ranging from design and regulatory structure, to contract strategies for tunnel construction, safety, geometric design, and field research requirements.

Case studies, the application of standards and the vision for underground projects all came under review.

Interactive stands give participating companies and organisations the chance to show videos, display promotional material and generate client contacts through video conferencing.

TYPSA is one of the event’s sponsors and is present with a virtual stand that is proving very successful with numerous visitors. The Group also participated in the seminar itself where Manuel Cano, from our Roads Division showcased TYPSA Group in a talk, while Pedro Ramírez spoke about legislation in Spain, focusing in particular on tunnel and underground works design, as the international representative of AETOS in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport.
