EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP TEAM

PhD in Civil Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and graduate of the IESE Business School Senior Management Program (PADE), he is the creator and founder of one of today’s leading international civil engineering, architecture and environmental consultancy firms, based in Spain. Since 1995, he has been among the 500 most dynamic European businessmen according to the “European Foundation of Entrepreneurs Research” in Schiphol, Holland, and was awarded the 2001 “Premio Emprendedor” [Entrepreneur Prize] by Ernst & Young, Citigroup and IESE in the Internationalisation of Spanish Business category. He has been a member of the Client Relations Committee of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC), Chairman and Member of the Board of Directors of the European Federation of Engineering Consultancy Associations (EFCA), President of the Spanish Engineering Business Association (TECNIBERIA) and Founding Partner of the Foro para la Ingeniería de Excelencia (FIDEX) [Engineering Excellence Forum], making a significant contribution to the promotion and support of the role of the Engineering Consultant in the development of infrastructure projects across the world. He was awarded the Medal of Honour by the Spanish Institution of Civil Engineers in 1991.
Pablo Bueno Tomás graduated with a Master’s in Civil Engineering from the UPM in Madrid and later completed an Executive Management Programme at the IESE. He began his engineering career at TYPSA Group in 1987, working in design and construction supervision in Spain and in the Middle East. He is now TYPSA Group President and CEO, as well as Chairman of the Board. He has served as President of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC), Vice President of the European Federation of Engineering Consultancy Associations (EFCA) and President of the Spanish Forum for Excellence in Engineering (FIDEX). He is currently President of TECNIBERIA (Spanish Association of Engineering, Consulting and Technological Service Companies), Member of the Executive Committee of FIDEX and Member of the Governing Body of the CICCP (Spanish Institution of Civil Engineers). He is also an executive member of AETOS (Spanish Tunnels and Underground Works Association) and a patron of the Agustín de Betancourt Foundation. In 2015 he was awarded the CICCP Medal of Honour and was voted Best European CEO by ACE (UK Association for Consultancy and Engineering). He is currently President of the CICCP Infrastructure Committee.

Julio Grande FlórezJulio Grande is a senior director at TYPSA and has been a significant player in the growth of the firm. 
His early success began at University, where he excelled academically at the Polytechnic University of Madrid School of Civil Engineering, graduating in 1981. He continued his studies to gain a place in the Madrid Regional Government Senior Civil Service Engineers and Architects Corps in 1987, and later rounded off his capabilities by completing the Senior Management Program (PADE) at IESE Business School.
Julio has worked closely with key construction companies as well as government institutions, his diverse career path having ranged from FCC Construction, where he was Head of Project Supervision, to the public sector with the Madrid Regional Government and TRASAGUA. Julio was Deputy Technical Director for this company created specifically for the design, construction and operation of the Ebro River water transfer.
During his time at TYPSA, Julio has held several key managerial posts, including Managing Director of Operations and HR. In this role, he was in charge of coordinating operations in the regional offices and sister companies, leading a team of more than two hundred people based at the head office. He was also fully responsible for Tecnofisil, the TYPSA subsidiary in Portugal.
Currently he is Executive Director of the CEO’s office with overall responsibility for Global Services and Territorial Management.

José Antonio OsunaGraduate in civil engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Master’s Degree in Management of Companies from ICADE and Professor at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
Since 1988, he has taken part in various projects in the infrastructures, building and Project Management sectors.
He has held senior management positions in national and international technical services consulting companies, Such as Prointec and Ec Harris, and has also held positions of responsibility in associations in the sector, having been Vice-Chairman of Tecniberia, Spanish Association of Business Engineering Consultants and Chairman of AEDIP, Spanish Association of Integrated Project Management.

Israel graduated as a Civil Engineer from the UPM (Polytechnic University of Madrid), and holds an MBA (URJC) and Master in Corporate Finance (EUDE Business School). His professional experience extends to all areas of civil engineering and emblematic buildings, and he is actively involved in the various phases of infrastructure development. While maintaining an intense technical commitment, Israel carries out administrative activities, team and resource management, and business leadership functions both nationally and internationally. Positions held at TYPSA include Regional Manager of Aragon, Navarre and La Rioja, Director of TYPSA’s subsidiary in Brazil (Engecorps) and since 2018 he has been the Group’s Global Director of Water Infrastructure.

Antonio Capilla MatarredonaAntonio Capilla graduated as an Architect from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. After starting out as an architect in London and Turin, he has pursued his career as a Senior Manager in various companies in the architecture, engineering and construction sectors.
He joined TYPSA in 2008 as Head of Project and Construction Management, developing iconic projects in Spain, Arabia, Portugal, Morocco, Romania and various countries in Latin America, contributing his extensive experience in design, management and technical assessment for PPP projects.
Since 2016 he has held the position of TYPSA Group Global Director of Buildings and Cities. He was a co-founder of the ‘PPP Infrastructure Forum’, and is currently a member of the Tecniberia Building Commission and member of the Board of AEDIP (Spanish Association of Project Management).
