TYPSA and RVNL strengthen cooperation for railway development in India

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), an entity of the Ministry of Railways responsible for the development of India’s main railway lines, has commissioned TYPSA with the contract for the design and tender of construction contracts and supervision of a section of more than 68 km, on the new railway line between the cities of Yavatmal and Nanded, in the state of Maharastra.

RVNL is a public company, wholly owned by the Ministry of Railways, created to address the infrastructure needs in India, activating extrabudgetary resources, and implementing projects for the creation and capacity-building of fast-track railway infrastructure.

Within the framework of this contract, TYPSA coordinates with RVNL on the organisation of technical visits to facilitate the opportunities for the technical and managerial staff of RVNL to learn about and exchange international railway experiences on other contracts that TYPSA is engaged in, both in Spain and around the world.

At the beginning of October, we had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from RVNL, led by Mr. Mritunjay Pratap Singh (Managing Director of RVNL), during which its members had the opportunity to visit important ongoing railway works which TYPSA is supervising, such as the FGV Control Post and metro line 10, in Valencia, the remodelling of Chamartin Station, in Madrid, and rail access to Terminal 1 of El Prat Airport, in Barcelona.

We would like to thank ADIF and the Ferrocarriles de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) for their full cooperation during this visit, which enabled this mission to meet all expectations.
