Underground road infrastructure comprising two twin tunnels, each 5.3 km long (10.665 km excavated).

Internal diameter of 13 m, with three lanes in each direction, a pedestrian walkway and integrated utility ducts.

Excavation mainly in basalt rock, with cover ranging from 20 to 160 m.

Tunnel portals at different elevations: 51 m above sea level at Goregaon and 33 m above sea level at Mulund.

Construction using two new TBMs and final lining with prefabricated reinforced concrete segments.

Connecting galleries every 300 m for safety and evacuation; design speed 80 km/h.

Associated works: 1.23 km of access roads and 1.44 km of additional box tunnels.

Total length: 13.335 km.
