At the TYPSA Group, we continue to expand our presence across the UK and Ireland, bringing us closer to our clients, partners and the markets we serve. Ten years after beginning operations in the UK and following the establishment of our first permanent office in London Paddington in 2017, TYPSA has grown steadily: we started operations in Ireland in 2018, opened new offices in Leeds, Dublin, Peterborough and Edinburgh, and integrated the Irish firm Clifton Scannell Emerson Associates (CSEA) into the Group.
Consolidation and diversification of our portfolio
Across the transportation sector, TYPSA has remained a key player in the market, continuously delivering design and site support services across six of the seven Main Civils contracts of the HS2 London–Birmingham route, and leading major railway schemes such as Cork Area Commuter Rail in Ireland. In highways and active travel, TYPSA played a key role in the A465 Head of the Valleys scheme in Wales and in the BusConnects programmes in Cork and Dublin. In the marine sector, our pivotal role supporting Dragados and ABP on the Immingham Port detailed design development since 2023 now continues with the provision of site support services. In aviation, our work within the Gatwick Airport and Dublin Airport Authority frameworks remains core to our portfolio. In energy, we are delivering major offshore wind and transmission and distribution projects and have recently been awarded a pioneering contract to support UK offshore wind developers in implementing floating offshore wind technology, further demonstrating the technical and development capabilities of the Group.

In the water sector, TYPSA has experienced significant growth over the last two years, including our appointment as Desalination Technical Partner for Anglian Water and our continued support to public clients across the country, including Yorkshire Water, Northumbrian Water and Scottish Water. This progress has strengthened TYPSA’s position in the water sector and enhanced our ability to support major design-and-build water infrastructure programmes across the UK and Ireland in the years ahead.
Continued growth and expansion
Our diversification of services has been accompanied by an extension of our footprint across both the UK and Ireland. Our expansion into Leeds in 2022 marked a significant milestone, followed by the opening of our Dublin office in 2023 and the more recent integration of our Irish subsidiary CSEA in 2025, adding two more offices in the Greater Dublin Area.
In line with this growth strategy, TYPSA is proud to announce the opening of two new offices in 2026:
- East Anglia (Peterborough), supporting our leadership role in the Anglian Water desalination programme and heading TYPSA’s marine operations.
- Scotland (Edinburgh), opening on 1 August and marking a major step in our long-term commitment to Scotland.
Our continued investment in people and regional presence reflects our confidence in the long-term opportunities across the UK and Ireland. With more than 250 professionals, TYPSA has built a resilient platform for future growth, underpinned by a clear strategy to strengthen our local capability while drawing on the expertise of the wider TYPSA Group.

Strengthening our leadership team
As part of this expansion, TYPSA is pleased to welcome Gordon Roberts as Director for Scotland. Gordon will play a central role in driving the continued growth of our water business across Scotland, the UK and Ireland.
This appointment reflects TYPSA’s long-term commitment to Scotland. Gordon’s extensive experience across consultancy and design-and-build environments will be key as we continue to strengthen our capabilities and support clients across Scotland and the wider region.

We are also pleased to announce that Stephen Russell has been appointed Strategic Growth Director. Stephen has become an integral part of our team, and in this new role he will lead the development and delivery of TYPSA’s long-term growth plans across the UK and Ireland.
In addition, Joe Flores joins the team as Major Projects Director – Transportation, based in our Paddington office. Joe brings substantial experience in managing large-scale transportation programmes, including programmes for Transport for London (TfL) and London Underground. His expertise will be instrumental in shaping the next generation of railway and urban mobility projects across the UK.
