Existing trees: 266 catalogued London plane trees, which form a key part of La Rambla’s botanical and landscape heritage.

Widening of the pavements and the central promenade for pedestrians.

Reduction of the carriageway to a single lane reserved for public transport, residents, authorised services and bicycles. Incorporation of a flexible service lane to facilitate loading and unloading, maintenance and emergency operations.

Renovation of the street lighting and also the paving using natural stone, thereby enhancing the historical and cultural heritage of La Rambla.

Installation of more than 400 bollards to improve safety in this high-traffic area.

The conservation and development of the tree population is being promoted by enlarging the tree pits and improving the conditions for their growth.
