TYPSA recently took part in the 16th ENERMAR 2026 Technical Conference, held in Valencia from 30 September to 2 October 2026. Organised by the ENERMAR Working Group, part of the Spanish Association of Naval and Ocean Engineers, the event has established itself as a focal point for professionals and experts in the marine renewable energy sector.
Under the theme “The Contribution of Naval Engineering to Marine Renewable Energy”, this year’s event brought together specialists from technology companies, research centres, universities, certification bodies and port authorities. Through real-world designs and experiences, the conference provided an opportunity to analyse the potential of the marine environment in energy transition and the contribution of naval engineering to this process.
TYPSA played a prominent role, presenting two studies focusing on some of the key technological and logistical challenges posed by the development of offshore wind power. Both contributions highlight the company’s expertise in this field and its commitment to advancing solutions that will drive the development of this technology.
The following presentations were given:
- “Optimisation of electrical infrastructure in floating wind farms: Subsea Hubs”, by Natalia de Mingo and Roberto Padilla.
- “Supply chain challenges in the manufacture of gravity foundations for offshore wind”, by Rubén Claus and Jose Landete.
Both presentations generated considerable interest amongst attendees and highlighted the importance of integrating technological, industrial and logistical aspects to make progress in this field.
Participation in this conference reinforces TYPSA’s commitment to innovation and the development of engineering solutions for the marine renewable energy sector, contributing to the advancement of a more efficient, competitive offshore industry that is well-prepared to tackle the challenges of the energy transition.
