Beniarres is a concrete gravity dam, with a height above foundation of 53 m and a crest length of 395 m, built in 1958.

Services

Main works designed for adaptation of the dam to comply with the structural safety regulations:

– To comply with the structural safety rules: width increase and reprofiling of the main spillway and new stilling basin, new drainage galleries.

– New lateral spillway and its discharge channel: the overall discharge capacity reaches for T 1000 2,139 m³/s and for T 5000 floods 3,350 m³/s.

– River and downstream bank protection measures

– Temporary diversion works, dam monitoring and drainage

– Temporary and final access roads and new structures, new structures across the lateral spillway and the river.
