TYPSA Peru obtains ISO37001 certification on Anti-Bribery Systems

TYPSA was one of the first Spanish engineering firms to obtain the ISO37001 (Anti-Bribery Systems) certificate in 2019. Since then, we have continued to take steps to extend our Integrity Management System to all branches.

Peru is a market in which TYPSA has been present for over twenty years, and which, in the last year, has experienced remarkable growth thanks to being awarded important contracts.

Transparency, ethics and the fight against corruption have become very important in this market due, in part, to their own, unfortunate, political background. Therefore, legislation on the criminal liability of companies for corruption offences is being tightened, and in the commercial field, the presentation of certificates proving that the company has a solid integrity system, is being evaluated as part of the technical score of tenders.

Based on the above, the decision was made to go one step further in the consolidation of the Integrity Management System of the Peruvian branch, and work towards obtaining the certification in 2023. On this occasion, the Austrian certifier of origin TUV was used, given its regional presence and recognition by the country’s bidding authorities.

The audit, which took place in person in the Lima office, was attended by the Integrity Coordinator and the Director of the Integrated Management System of Peru, in collaboration with the Director of Compliance of TYPSA. Furthermore, it highlights the significant involvement of the General Directorate of South America, the Regional Directorate of Peru and more than 10 people from different areas who, through dedicated efforts, contributed to such an excellent result.

Thus, the auditor of TUV, in addition to issuing a favourable report for the certification, highlighted, among other aspects, the commitment and level of compliance of the system implemented by the branch staff, as well as TYPSA´s technological follow-up tools.

With this certification, TYPSA is positioned in Peru as an engineering firm of excellence, committed to the fight against corruption, and with a fully consolidated ethical culture, raising the level of national engineering firms.

The TYPSA Integrity Management System continues its implementation and adaptation process in the workplaces where we operate. With this, TYPSA is established as a point of reference in the field of engineering, promoting the highest standards of transparency in the sector, reinforcing the sustainability and resilience of its business.
