What we do
Development programmes
Infrastructure investment, access to energy and the development of cities, are key to a country’s economic growth and consequently to its level of well-being. We have been working hand in hand with multilateral development banks and development agencies to provide technical assistance to governments of low- and middle-income countries for decades, helping them to prepare, implement and evaluate their transport, water, environment, energy and construction programmes.
For the first time, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals within the framework of the United Nations 2030 Agenda provide institutions with a common global roadmap. Consulting engineering firms have a very important role to play in the Agenda, specifically in preparing projects with high sustainability standards and in training administrations to properly implement projects and manage programmes.
Services cover Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia and the Middle East, and the main funding agencies are the Inter-American Development Bank, CAF, the World Bank, the European Commission, the European Investment Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, KfW, MCC and AECID. Our thorough knowledge of the policies, programmes and procurement procedures of these institutions enables us to keep them on our list of regular clients.
Our teams of highly specialised professionals and our regional offices provide the resources and local knowledge required to deliver these services, which are managed through contracts that adhere to TYPSA’s integrated management system, in accordance with international quality, sustainability and integrity standards.
