Year

2023

Construction budget

EUR 1.89 million

Key facts

First mass transit system in the city based on three, 20 km BRT, corridors operated by electric buses. 65% of the route will have a platform segregated from private traffic and right-of-way at critical intersections, with a total of 106 stops.

The first phase of the electric BRT will be operated with a total of 16 articulated buses and 42 standard length buses. In addition, a comprehensive restructuring of the entire urban bus network has been proposed to optimise the efficiency of the transport system as a whole.

According to the results of the transport model, the electric BRT will reach 20 km/h commercial speed (doubling the current situation), which will be reflected in a 31% increase in demand and a 20% reduction in travel time of the entire public transport network.
