This year\u2019s edition received 19 nominations from EFCA member associations across six categories: engineering, contribution to society, climate impact and biodiversity, digitalisation and\u00a0new technologies, quality of presentation, and winner of the year. The latter award went to Aida, thanks to the support of\u00a0Tecniberia.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:257}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">This recognition highlights the extraordinary work carried out by Aida on the Stockholm Metro extension project, one of the most significant urban infrastructure projects in Europe, in which TYPSA is playing a leading role.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:257}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">In her application for the award, Aida highlighted the impact of the project, which will improve the connection between the city centre and new residential areas under development to the south, as well as fostering new hubs of activity and economic development along the line. Also highlighted were some of the unique features, such as the fact that, for the first time in the history of the Stockholm Metro, the main tunnels will be excavated using a tunnel boring machine. She also highlighted the innovation applied to the models, integrated into a BIM\u00a0environment\u00a0and developed using automated processes with parametric tools.
