The tunnel will connect Alicante station on tram line 10, and X\u00e0tiva station, where metro lines 3, 5 and 9 meet.<\/p>\n<p>The tunnel is 7.40 m wide with an average height of 5.50 m, and a length of 260 m between faces, made using cut and cover next to protected buildings, the works of which are based on designs also carried out by TYPSA. Through this tunnel, both stations will be connected, without the need to go above ground, facilitating mobility, as X\u00e0tiva station is one of the most important metro stations in the Valencia network, located next to the north station and where three metro lines meet.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-79255 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.typsa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/VALENCIA-A_25-800x467.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"467\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.typsa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/VALENCIA-A_25-800x467.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.typsa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/VALENCIA-A_25-1024x597.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.typsa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/VALENCIA-A_25-768x448.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.typsa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/VALENCIA-A_25.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The design had to be modified to adapt to a possible extension of line 10 to the centre of Valencia, so the current pedestrian tunnel can accommodate the future passage of trams, if such an extension occurs. This has extended the initial deadline for the works, as completion is not expected until the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cleaning works at l&#8217;Albufera de Valencia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Also in February, various authorities visited the cleaning works of l&#8217;Albufera, following the floods of October 29th the previous year, which filled the lake of this very important wetland with thousands of cubic metres of both organic and artificial waste. The personalities who came to take an interest in what happened to l&#8217;Albufera, and the actions that are being carried out, were: the European Commissioner for Agriculture, Christophe Hansen, the Minister of Agriculture, Luis Planas, the President of the Generalitat, Carlos Maz\u00f3n, the Minister of Agriculture, Miguel Barrachina, and the mayor of Valencia, M\u00aa Jos\u00e9 Catal\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-79257 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.typsa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/VALENCIA-B_25-800x467.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"467\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.typsa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/VALENCIA-B_25-800x467.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.typsa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/VALENCIA-B_25-1024x597.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.typsa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/VALENCIA-B_25-768x448.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.typsa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/VALENCIA-B_25.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>These involve three emergency interventions, the management of which has been carried out by TYPSA since December 19th. The start was a major challenge, given the adverse circumstances and the multitude of agents affected, since the natural park, in addition to being an exceptional habitat for a large number of species, has a great influence on the lives of the people who live in it and whose livelihoods depend on it.
