The Group hosted its first forum on artificial intelligence, under the theme: \u201cInnovation and future: Artificial Intelligence at TYPSA\u201d in the auditorium at its Madrid headquarters, on 24th and 25th September. This event marked the closing of the R&D project DI0826: BIG-TYP-Generative AI for Knowledge Management and was broadcast live to more than 3,600 TYPSA employees worldwide.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The opening day kicked off with an inspiring speech by Pablo Bueno, <\/span>Chairman and CEO<\/span> of the TYPSA Group, who took the opportunity to officially present the Group\u2019s new company, TYPSA Digital Solutions (TDS). With this launch, TYPSA reaffirmed its commitment to digital transformation and technological innovation. Next, Miguel Mondr\u00eda, <\/span>CTO of the Group<\/span>, presented \u201cVision of AI in TYPSA\u201d, outlining the company\u2019s strategic guidelines in its application of artificial intelligence.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span>The objective was to share the Group\u2019s advances in AI, open new perspectives on its use in future projects, and generate a space for reflection and debate around the pros and cons of this disruptive technology. The event also sought to foster collaboration between TYPSA and other invited companies, exploring together the possibilities that AI can offer in the sector.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A close and collaborative format<\/span><\/b>
\n<\/span>With a relaxed and collaborative atmosphere, and sofa-style interviews, Joaqu\u00edn L\u00f3pez Fern\u00e1ndez, <\/span>Managing Director of TDS<\/span>, opened the session, with Juan Bessini, <\/span>AI Leader at TDS,<\/span> as moderator. Experts from the group shared their experience of applying AI in various projects, including Salvador Fern\u00e1ndez Fenollera, <\/span>Head of Cities at TYPSA<\/span>, who spoke about \u201cEnglish Checker\u201d; Amparo Senabre, from the <\/span>Technical Administration Department of TYPSA<\/span>, who shared her experiences with \u201cLicictQuick\u201d; In\u00e9s Ferguson, <\/span>Head of <\/span>Business Development at TYPSA<\/span>, who explained the impact that \u201cProteo\u201d has on their daily lives; Fernando Higuera, <\/span>TDS<\/span> Director Data Office<\/span>, who highlighted the use of generative AI in TYPSA design projects; and Miguel Mondr\u00eda, who presented \u201cTechThinker\u201d that will allow access to all R&D project know-how of the TYPSA Group. Each intervention showed how AI is transforming work at TYPSA.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

AI applied to security and performance
\n<\/strong>Another notable moment was the talk on \u201cLicensing and Security in AI\u201d, presented by Carlos Uceira, <\/span>CIO of TYPSA<\/span>, and Alberto Mart\u00ednez, <\/span>CISO of TYPSA<\/span>, which addressed key security-related challenges in the use of artificial intelligence. Next, Jose Cordovilla, <\/span>Head of Infrastructure Advisory Services at TYPSA<\/span>, and David Casta\u00f1ares, <\/span>Director of Process Automation at TDS<\/span>, shared their experience with COPILOT, Microsoft’s AI, offering a practical and accessible view of how these tools can transform day-to-day work.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The highlight of the day was the announcement of SERAPIS Alejandria, an AI microservices platform developed internally. Mariana San\u00edn and Francisco Pedraza V\u00e1zquez were in charge of presenting this revolutionary development, which surprised attendees with its ability to improve data management and processing within the group. AlejandrIA not only represents a significant technological advance, but also positions TYPSA as leader in the development of its own AI solutions, with the potential to transform processes throughout the organisation and beyond.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The day culminated with an eloquent speech by \u00cd\u00f1igo de la Serna, <\/span>Vice President of the TYPSA Group<\/span>, who offered an inspiring reflection on the future of AI in the company.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Exchange of ideas and new opportunities
\n<\/strong>The second day included a series of roundtables and interviews with guests from both the TYPSA Group and external companies, the first of which was titled “New Business Opportunities”, in which \u00c1ngel Ni\u00f1o, Councillor for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the City of Madrid, shared his vision on how artificial intelligence, including the use of digital twins, is opening up new possibilities for improving public services and making life easier for citizens. The interview was conducted by F\u00e9lix Tejada who explored together with the councillor the potential of AI to transform public management and generate value for both the private sector and public administration.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The first roundtable, moderated by David Casta\u00f1ares, focused on \u201cProject Management Optimisation\u201d and featured interventions from Carlos Garc\u00eda, <\/span>Head of Energy Construction Management at TYPSA<\/span>; Dolores Gonz\u00e1lez, <\/span>Information Management in the BIM Department of TYPSA<\/span>; Francisco Cort\u00e9s, <\/span>Division of Railway Engineering at TYPSA<\/span>; and Roberto Gonz\u00e1lez, AI specialist at Nageru Solutions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The second roundtable discussed the role of AI in environmental sustainability and was moderated by In\u00e9s Ferguson with contributions from Cristina Ros\u00f3n, <\/span>Sustainability and Environment Division<\/span>; Patricia Rull\u00e1n, <\/span>Head of Sustainability and Environment<\/span>; Eva Orozco, <\/span>BIM-GIS and Digital Management of the TYPSA Transport Infrastructures Area<\/span>; and Diego Rodr\u00edguez expert of Amazon Web Services (AWS).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The third debate, on the evolution toward a Data Driven company, saw participation by Miguel Mondr\u00eda, Carlos Uceira, and Patxi Urquijo, <\/span>Southern Africa Regional Director<\/span>; and was moderated by Victoria Tortosa, <\/span>CEO of TDS<\/span>. Also present was \u00c1lvaro Mu\u00f1oz, a Google expert, who shared his vision on digital transformation.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
