TYPSA led and organised this International Conference which took place on 28th and 29th November at the BTH Hotel in Lima and which welcomed over 230 attendees.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Representatives of the main institutions involved in ongoing drainage projects, as well as various representatives of civil society, were in attendance.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Conference is part of the important investment that Peru is carrying out in improving storm drainage systems in the north of the country. TYPSA has a leading role in these improvements, being previously and\/or currently involved in the ambitious projects of Chiclayo, Paita and Lima. <\/span>Collectively, these three projects <\/span>total an investment of over 1,200 M USD and will impact approximately 105 km<\/span>2<\/span>, directly benefiting more than 550,000 inhabitants.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During the first day of this Conference, and with the help of national and international experts, we had the opportunity to review the importance of the different knowledge areas in the design of storm drainage systems. In particular, the importance of hydrological, hydraulic, geotechnical, structural, landscape, environmental, social and interference studies was reviewed.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The second day was dedicated to the presentation of the projects that TYPSA is developing in <\/span>Chiclayo<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Paita<\/span><\/a> together with Lombardi\u00b4s project in Trujillo. In addition, we had the opportunity to learn about the experiences in Europe, the United States and Latin America in <\/span>SUDS<\/span><\/a> (Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems) from Sara Perales, CEO of Green Blue Management, a TYPSA group company, and from Alejandro Martinez, international expert in SUDS and part of the Paita project.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One notable presence among the external guests was that of the expert hydrologist Prof. Cayo Ramos, principal professor at the National Agrarian University of La Molina.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
