{"id":76550,"date":"2023-09-12T17:27:38","date_gmt":"2023-09-12T16:27:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.typsa.com\/?p=76550"},"modified":"2024-02-08T16:03:22","modified_gmt":"2024-02-08T15:03:22","slug":"typsa-obtains-enac-accreditation-for-safety-inspections-of-railway-applications","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.typsa.com\/en\/typsa-obtains-enac-accreditation-for-safety-inspections-of-railway-applications\/","title":{"rendered":"TYPSA obtains ENAC accreditation for safety inspections of railway applications"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TYPSA has successfully completed the accreditation process with ENAC as an inspection body for safety in railway applications in the Control, Command and Signalling subsystem, in accordance with the criteria established in ISO\/IEC 17020:2012.<\/p>\n<p>This accreditation allows TYPSA to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assess and evaluate the risk of railway application projects based on common safety methods (CSM)<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate railway application projects as an independent safety assessment body (ISA) based on CENELEC regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 402\/2013 of 30 April 2013 on the adoption of a common safety method (CSM) for risk assessment and evaluation, in accordance with the Directive on the safety of the community railways (2004\/49\/EC), provides that, when there is a significant change that has an impact on safety, an independent safety assessor\u00b4s report (ISA) is required.<\/p>\n<p>Significant changes may be technical, operational or organisational, and could affect any of the structural (infrastructure, energy, control, command and signalling, rolling stock) and functional (traffic operation and management, maintenance, telematic applications for passenger and freight transport) subsystems which integrate the railway system.<\/p>\n<p>ISA evaluators carry out an independent assessment of the suitability of both the application of the risk management process and its results, in accordance with CENELEC regulations (EN50126, EN50128 and EN50129).<\/p>\n<p>Obtaining this accreditation, in the face of the demanding requirements of ENAC, demonstrates that TYPSA technicians have a solid knowledge both in the referenced regulations and in the fundamental technical aspects associated with the accredited discipline.<\/p>\n<p>TYPSA becomes part of the small group of companies accredited in this capacity and we will be able to act as independent third-party safety evaluators, as well as demonstrating technical expertise in the development of security management processes in our own projects, which constitute a critical aspect in any significant railway project.<\/p>\n<p>The process has required the combined effort of the Rail Division, the MEP and Telecommunications Department, and the Quality Area, and gives rise to a new department specialised in the practical application of this accreditation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TYPSA has successfully completed the accreditation process with ENAC as an inspection body for safety in railway applications in the Control, Command and Signalling subsystem, in accordance with the criteria established in ISO\/IEC 17020:2012.
