Adjudicated by a distinguished independent jury of industry professionals, the awards recognise excellence in both design and construction. The awards&#8217; main jury reviewed a total of 30 nominated projects. \u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">In the Best Infrastructure 2022 category, the Association presented the award to the \u00a0N22 highway bridges crossing over the Laney and Sullane Rivers. The S26 viaduct &#8211; Laney Riverbridge, has a single girder span of 49.90m. These girders are currently the longest to date in Ireland and the UK. The S28 &#8211; Sullane Riverbridge viaduct has two spans with similar girder lengths (48.75 m), with the additional challenge of being an integral bridge of almost 100m. TYPSA participates in this award, along with developers and constructors, as the author of the detailed designs.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Quote from the jury: &#8220;The two river bridges at Laney and Sullane are impressive examples of the use of in-situ and precast concrete.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The W19 girders of the Laney and Sullane river bridges are the longest in Ireland and the UK.This approach not only allowed for longer span girders, but also allowed for significant savings in quantities of both concrete and steel.
