TYPSA is carrying out, in association with a local partner, the construction supervision of the road surface and service level maintenance work of a 33 km stretch of Route 21, located in Mbaracay\u00fa, department of Alto Paran\u00e1, in Paraguay. <\/p>\n
At present, the section is not paved and has a high flow of heavy goods vehicles, so the consortium will be responsible for developing a monitoring and follow-up plan related to road safety and traffic management during the works, as well as performing quality control at the maintenance stage, through the continuous verification of the standards and service indexes. <\/p>\n
The global project is funded by the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF), through a USD 100 million loan to the Paraguayan Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC). The objective is to strengthen the connectivity of the Mbaracay\u00fa district with the rest of the country and with Brazil, through the paving and maintenance works of a total of 61 km and the improvement of the infrastructure of the Puerto Indio dock, located on the banks of the Paran\u00e1 River, which constitutes the natural border between both countries. <\/p>\n
The expected results include the strengthening of trade relations between Paraguay and Brazil, the reduction of logistics costs related to the export of products from the primary sector, mainly soy beans, wheat and corn, the improvement of the mobility of more than 150,000 people, and the integration of the area with the rest of the country and its area of influence, as well as the generation of employment and investment in a predominantly rural and agricultural area. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
