The Port of Rotterdam Authority has selected Arcadis-TYPSA as a partner for the design and support for the tender for the redevelopment of quay wall structures in the Europahaven. This project is part of the development of a new container terminal by Hutchison Ports, Terminal Investment Limited S\u00e0rl (TiL, part of MSC) and the Port of Rotterdam Authority. It involves adapting the existing quay wall, with a length of 2.6 kilometres, and developing a new quay wall approximately 450 metres long. Arcadis and TYPSA are working together for this assignment.<\/p>\n
In order to accommodate future large container ships along the new terminal, the quay walls need to be deepened and adjusted. To do this, the Port of Rotterdam Authority has opted for the technique of prefabricated caissons that are sunk into position next to the existing quay wall construction. Arcadis, TYPSA and the Port of Rotterdam Authority will be working together on further developing the design and preparing the tender for launch in the coming period.<\/p>\n
