TYPSA Foundation for Development and the Universidad Polit\u00e9ctnica de Madrid (Madrid Polytechnic University, UPM) have renewed their existing collaboration agreement for another four years. The extension enables continued support for the development of the technical faculties that form part of Lake Albert University (UNILAC), in Mahagi, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.<\/p>\n
The signing ceremony took place at the UPM Rectorate, the signatories being the Rector, Guillermo Cisneros, and the Foundation President, Pablo Bueno Sainz.<\/p>\n
UPM\u2019s participation within the framework of TYPSA Foundation’s activities at UNILAC is proving to be fundamental in achieving the desired academic and teaching outcomes. As a result, students are graduating with a solid education that meets the technical needs required for the country’s development.<\/p>\n
UPM is consolidating its cooperation in the project by relocating UPM lecturers to Mahagi, giving lectures and workshops on various subjects, and providing on-line courses and activities for<\/p>\n
improving the quality of teaching, all aimed at making UNILAC the most prestigious university in Ituri.<\/p>\n
In addition to the agreement with the Foundation, UPM has signed another agreement with UNILAC that sets out the relationship development between the two universities and the actions aimed at promoting the Civil and Agricultural Engineering faculties. It also covers the creation of new technical faculties such as Computer Engineering and Telecommunications.<\/p>\n
The presence of the Deputy Vice Rector for International Cooperation and the directors of the Civil, Agricultural and Telecommunications Engineering Schools at the signing ceremony in addition to the trustees and the director of TYPSA Foundation, gives an idea of the University\u2019s interest and level of involvement in the project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
