The winning design, submitted by the \u2018Burgos &amp; Garrido Arquitectos &#8211; TYPSA\u2019 JV, was selected from the five finalist teams. Since the company Bilbao R\u00eda 2000 was created in 1992, TYPSA has built up a reputation for its notable success in collaborating closely in the regeneration and transformation of deteriorated areas in the metropolitan area of Bilbao.<\/p>\n<p>In the Panel\u2019s opinion, the winning project, submitted under the pseudonym \u2018The Garden in Motion\u2019, is \u2018a versatile proposal, fresh and inspired by nature\u2019 and is the one that \u2018best achieves the vision of a more flexible natural environment to accommodate medium- and long-term uses\u2019. Among the highlights of this project the Panel cites \u2018the smooth approach to the different levels\u2019 in the area and \u2018the clear, continuous and diaphanous public space generated\u2019, \u2018the ease with which the proposal connects with the history and industrial past\u2019 of the area and \u2018the natural way in which the park runs alongside the course of the Estuary\u2019. The JV\u2019s past experience working to develop the Manzanares park in Madrid has been a help.<\/p>\n<p>As the competition winners, the JV will be in charge of preparing the concept design for the urban development of the Estuary waterfront and will provide design and construction supervision services for the Ribera del Nervi\u00f3n Park.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bilbaoria2000.org\/actuaciones\/barakaldo\/parque-de-ribera-galindo-este-nuevo-proyecto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.bilbaoria2000.org\/actuaciones\/barakaldo\/parque-de-ribera-galindo-este-nuevo-proyecto\/<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bilbao R\u00eda 2000 selects the winning design in the Call for Ideas for Ribera de Barakaldo Park.
