The JV will develop the project from concept through to Railway Order stage, providing multi-disciplinary consultancy services including project management, preliminary design of the 20 km line upgrade, a thorough public consultation process and preparation of the Railway Order. <\/p>\n<p>For the Kildare Line, the upgrade will include: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Widening the railway from two to four tracks from Park West Station to Heuston and associated structural works to bridges supporting the track.<\/li>\n<li>Electrification and re-signalling from Hazelhatch to Heuston and through the Phoenix Park Tunnel to Glasnevin junction.<\/li>\n<li>Realignment works to accommodate segregation of DART and Intercity services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>TYPSA will deliver the Project Management, Design Management services, as well as the design services for some of the most relevant railway disciplines involved.<\/p>\n<p>Jim Meade, Chief Executive of Iarnr\u00f3d \u00c9ireann (Irish Rail), said: \u201cThe DART Expansion project will ensure the communities we serve &#8211; both on the Kildare line and nationally &#8211; will gain from better rail services and a more sustainable future.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dublin, Ireland: July 2020 TYPSA, with joint venture (JV) partners ATKINS and TUC RAIL, and supported by RPS, has been appointed by Iarnr\u00f3d \u00c9ireann Irish Rail to provide multi-disciplinary services for the 20 km expansion of the DART network\u2019s Kildare Line.
