CORTI I wind farm, Bahía Blanca, Argentina.

Corti Wind Farm is located northeast of the city of Bahía Blanca, in the province of Buenos Aires. The farm comprises 29 wind turbines, each with a tower height of 87 m, and has a total installed power of 100 MW.

Engineering and construction supervision services were delivered for the farm and for the balance of plant.

The owner’s engineering, included:

  • The full geotechnical campaign and civil engineering design of the wind farm including 20 km of internal roads and the hydrological study.
  • Review and verification of all the detailed electrical infrastructure designs including medium voltage collection system, two substations, and high voltage line between them.
  • Construction engineering services for the development of the wind farm and its combined transformer and transmission infrastructure.

Corti is the first wind farm developed by Pampa Energy Group, the largest electricity company in Argentina. Through its subsidiaries, Pampa Energy Group generates, transmits and distributes electricity throughout the entire country. Once the farm is in operation, the Group will be the first to generate renewable energy in the province of Buenos Aires.
