What we do

Development programmes

Investment in infrastructure, access to energy and the development of cities are key to a country’s economic growth, and therefore to its level of well-being. For decades, we have been providing technical assistance services to governments of middle- and low-income countries in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of their transportation, water, environment, energy and building programs, together with multilateral development banks and cooperation agencies.

In the framework of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, institutions share for the first time a global roadmap, based on 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Engineering consultancy firms play a very relevant role in the Agenda, specifically in the preparation of projects with high sustainability standards and in training administrations for the correct execution of projects and program management.

The regional coverage of this type of services covers Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia and the Middle East, and the main financing institutions are the Inter-American Development Bank, CAF, the World Bank, the European Commission, the European Investment Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, KfW, MCC and AECID. We have in-depth knowledge of their procurement policies, programs and procedures, which allows us to have them in our portfolio of regular clients.

To provide this type of service, we involve our highly specialized technical teams and our regional offices, which provide the necessary local knowledge and resources. At the management level, contracts follow TYPSA’s integrated management system, which complies with international quality, sustainability and integrity standards.
