The Regional Management headquarters for Catalunya, the Balearic Islands and Andorra was set up in Barcelona in 1992, with offices in Mallorca, Girona, Lleida and Tarragona.
TYPSA has now consolidated its position as one of the most important engineering firms in the region, with significant work in both the public and private sectors. Our main objective is the satisfaction of our clients, and to that end we have an expert multidisciplinary staff of over 130 employees at the clients’ disposition, more than 80% of whom are university graduates.
The Regional Management for Catalunya, the Balearics and Andorra works with state, regional and local governments. In the private sector clients include the main construction companies and developers working in the region. We also work beyond our regional limits, Barcelona being the base for TYPSA’s department for Golf Course Design and Technical Operation. Internationally, we are part of the Group’s presence in the global market, being involved in many of the different projects carried out by the TYPSA Group abroad.
Our multidisciplinary organization and technical capabilities have enabled us to participate in the most important projects in our region, which can be particularly appreciated in the fields of transportation, site development, water engineering and the environment. In transportation we have worked on Line 9 Barcelona Metro, High Speed Railways, Stations for the AVE (High Speed) and Commuter Network, the Barcelona Tram Network, the Badalona Bus Operations and Management Centre, the new Barcelona Airport Terminal plus other Airports in Catalunya, the upgrading of the Eix Transversal trunk road, and the A-27 Lleida-Tarragona motorway. Site development projects include the development of road networks in the La Sagrera and the Sector 22@ areas in Barcelona, and in the Cerdanyola del Vallés Directional Centre. In water engineering and the environment we have participated in work on the Albagés Dam, the Irrigation system for the Segarra-Garrigues Water Resources network, the planning of River Spaces, municipal Master Plans for Sanitation and Supply, and the Ter-Llobregat system water supply. |
