In the 1980's Barclays Bank contracted TYPSA for what was then the Group’s first Project Management assignment in Spain. At that time, this type of contract was practically unheard of in this country.

More than two decades later, TYPSA has consolidated its position as one of Spain's most experienced companies in this field, and actively cooperates with large corporations in the development of strategic corporate investments. Clients include Banco Santander, Carrefour, CLH, Telefonica and Repsol-YPF, private developers as well as public institutions.

SANTANDER GROUP CITY COMPLEX

120 ha were developed for the 424,000 sq m of buildings that make up the Santander Group complex. The investment was approximately 500 million Euros, and was one of TYPSA’s biggest Project Management contracts.

Between 2001 and 2006 Banco Santander commissioned TYPSA to complete all the architecture and engineering designs and the site development of the Financial City, as well as the Contract and Construction Management, site supervision and financial control of the construction.

With the addition of new buildings and the design and construction of the New Visitors’ centre, Business Dining Facilities and other complementary buildings, TYPSA’s collaboration continued between 2007 and 2009.

In the second half of 2009 TYPSA began the designs for the Technology Centre in Cantabria, to be followed by the Construction Management.

TANGER CITY CENTER COMPLEX IN TANGIER

TYPSA is working on the Project and Construction Management of this complex that comprises 242.000 sq m. It will include a 58,926 sq m car park and will house uses as diverse as residential, retail, offices and hotel, in towers between 7 and 22 storeys high that dominate the city’s skyline.

During the initial phase the design teams collaborated to apply “value engineering” generating solutions to achieve optimum cost and work within deadlines, without negatively affecting the quality of the design.

During the construction phase, TYPSA will carry out the Construction Management including control and monitoring of scheduling, economic control of the investment, management of the tender process and contracting, coordination and management of the construction works, to mitigate possible risks in the construction phase, and achieve the goals the Owner seeks to attain.

THE FUENTE DE SAN LUIS DEVELOPMENT

The Fuente de San Luis Development (PAI Planning Programme) in Valencia covers approximately 40 Ha of land and is being developed for different uses (commercial - the Snow and Leisure centre -, residential, offices etc….).

TYPSA was contracted by ANALYST INVERTE 21 S.L. Investment and Finance Company to audit and improve the design. The brief also included Contract Management, Cost Control, Construction Management and contact with utility companies and government bodies to obtain Building Permission and Licenses, all within the services TYPSA offers to Financial Institutions.

TECHNICAL ADVISORY SERVICES TO FINANCIAL AND INVESTMENT INSTITUTIONS

TYPSA offers a variety of services to monitor project management, improving technical and economic efficiency, and making better use of time. The possible risks arising during the life cycle of the investment are also detected and minimized.
