Blizzard/TYPSA is currently providing engineering design and works supervision services for the development of several Wind Farm projects in Romania. The Client is EDP Renováveis (Portugal).
Projects underway include:
Cernavoda Wind Farm
Located in Constanta County, the Cernavoda Wind Farm will have a total installed power of 138 MW and comprises 46 3,000 kV turbines and is served by a 40.4 km network of inner and access roads.
The services delivered by TYPSA/Blizzard at the design stage included due diligence and detailed design of the roads, wind farm foundations and platforms, and medium voltage cable channeling.
After successfully completing the design stage of the project in 2009, Blizzard/TYPSA is currently providing full works supervision services for the development of the wind farm.
Pestera Wind Farm
Pestera Wind Farm is also located in Constanta County, and has a total installed power of 90 MW. The farm comprises 30 3,000 kV turbines.

Blizzard/TYPSA completed the detailed design of the roads (totaling 28.26 km), turbine pile foundations and assembly platforms, weather tower foundations (2 weather towers), and the medium voltage cable channeling. The project is currently at the supervision stage, full works supervision services also being provided by Blizzard/TYPSA.
